Chapter 2

ALEC

I’ve only been in Chicago for a week, but already I miss Manhattan like crazy. Here all I do is work—and hook up with the occasional woman I meet at the hotel bar.

I miss having my buddies to go drinking with, and the women in Chicago somehow seem even more desperate than the ones in New York.

I’m getting tired of women throwing themselves at me, whether they just want a night or they’re trying to get me to fall in love with them. I’m not interested in the whole relationship thing, and I’m kinda over easy pussy. I want a challenge.

As for this Chelsea Tanner, the woman who just called from Lockwood Real Estate asking about a meeting? Well, I don’t know if she’ll be a challenge, but I’m sure she’ll be fun.

I’ve heard of Lockwood, and they’re a pretty solid firm, but I just got to Chicago; there’s no rush to find a business partner for our new development.

I probably wouldn’t even have agreed to the meeting, but Chelsea sounded so sexy and confident over the phone, I was intrigued. So, I’ll go. I’ll flirt a little, and if she’s hot, I’ll fuck her. That’s it.

A few minutes before noon I head downstairs to the Florentine. It’s my favorite restaurant I’ve tried so far in Chicago, and I’ve always been a sucker for Italian food.

I drop my name with the hostess, and she points me toward the bar. “The woman you’re meeting is waiting for you there. I’ll come by in a few minutes to show you both to your table. Sir.”

On “sir,” she shoots me a flirtatious look, biting her lip while her eyes scream, fuck me. No thanks, though. I send her my best blank smile and turn away.

The only woman I see waiting at the bar is a blonde fucking bombshell. If this is Chelsea, I’ve won the fucking jackpot.

Her wavy hair falls down her back, begging me to wrap my fingers through it and pull. Her natural makeup accentuates her features perfectly; I’ve always liked dramatic makeup that makes girls look like they’re all eyes and lips, but this vibe really works for Chelsea.

She stands when she sees me. Her white dress clings to her curves, showing off a perfect tiny waist, perky C-cups, and nice round hips—not too big, but well-defined.

She’s wearing tall, sexy, fuck-me heels. I’ll make her keep those on when I’m ramming into her later.

“Mr. Oberlin,” she greets me with a smile and an extended hand. I take it, drawing in a breath as I feel her soft, silky skin.

“Ms. Tanner, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” I say. The moment our handshake ends I miss touching her. I swear, I’m going to run my fingers over every inch of her after lunch.

I order a scotch, and even when the hostess arrives as promised to guide us to our table, I barely look away from Chelsea.

“Thank you for meeting with me, Mr. Oberlin,” says Chelsea once we’ve settled in and glanced at our menus. I find myself staring at those plump lips, wondering how they’ll feel wrapped around my cock.

“It’s my pleasure. And please, call me Alec,” I say. After all, you’ll be screaming my name later, I think.

“All right, Alec, then call me Chelsea. Ms. Lockwood told me you’re building several new high-rises in the city; is that correct?”

“Yup, we were thinking three, to begin with. But let’s not talk shop right now. Why don’t we order lunch? Would you like some wine?”

She looks a little taken aback, but quickly composes herself.

“No, thank you, I don’t drink this early in the day.” She says it in a soft voice, but her face is stern. Hmm, maybe Chelsea will be the challenge I’ve been looking for after all.

We both order pasta when the waiter comes back, and then Chelsea starts up with the work talk again. “I took the liberty of printing out some listings that I think might—”

“Why don’t we wait, huh?” I interrupt, pushing aside the papers she’s trying to show me. “We can talk business later. Right now I want to get to know you, Chelsea.” I hit her with my best panty-dropping grin.

“Okay,” she says, either missing or ignoring the flirtation. “I’m a new partner at Lockwood, but I have a long, successful history with my old firm. If you’re looking for references, I can give you phone numbers for a few of my old clients.”

I put a hand on top of hers. She frowns down at it, then up at me. “Before I know you as a real estate agent, I want to know you as a woman. What turns you on?” I’m laying it on thick, I know, but I just want her so bad.

She pulls her hand away. “With all due respect, Mr. Oberlin,” she says, emphasizing my name. “I’m here to talk business.

“If you’re looking to get laid, I suggest the hostess; she seems interested.” She gestures, and I see that the hostess is indeed still sneaking glances our way.

I’m taken aback. No one ever talks to me this way, especially not women, and especially not a woman I’m actively trying to seduce.

“Are you sure I can’t tempt you?” I ask, reaching out for her hand again. She withdraws it right away.

“Completely.” She stands. “If you change your mind and would like to hear my proposal, you can call me. But understand this: I will not, under any circumstances, be sleeping with you, Alec.”

With that, she walks out of the restaurant before our food is even served. I’m left sitting alone in front of two plates of pasta, dumbfounded.

Chelsea Tanner is an absolute firecracker, and that makes me want her even more.

When I get back to my room I try to get some work done, but I can’t get the feisty, blonde beauty out of my head.

I keep visualizing her big brown eyes and soft-looking lips. Imagining what she would look like riding me while I lick her nipples, my hands firmly tangled in her hair. I get so hard that I have to unbutton my pants.

I lean back, stroking myself. I don’t even think I could have just a one-night stand with this woman. I keep thinking about different places and positions I want to fuck her in.

My orgasm erupts violently, spilling out all over my hand and pants that I apparently didn’t drag far enough down.

After lying there gasping for a few minutes, I throw my clothes in the laundry and grab a quick shower to clean up. I’m going to show up at Lockwood and make a deal with Chelsea.

Maybe if I agree to work with her, she’ll be easier to court. And let’s face it, if I give her the project, we’ll be spending a lot of time together. She won’t be able to resist me forever.
